Eureka 3D MSS Environment Plan has been ACCEPTED by NOPSEMA
NOPSEMA have now completed their assessment of the Environment Plan (“EP”) and is satisfied that the environmental impact and risk of the survey’s proposed operations are mitigated to as low as reasonably practicable, and remain acceptable, whilst adopting best practice methods, and meeting the requirements of Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Environment) Regulations 2023.

NOPSEMA - Information for the community
ViewUnder the Offshore Petroleum and Greenhouse Gas Storage (Environment) Regulations 2009 there are several ways the community can participate in the environmental approvals process for offshore petroleum activities in Commonwealth waters. Advice to the community is provided by the regulator, the National Offshore Petroelum and Envirionmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA).

The Environment Plan was available for public comment between 22nd February to 22nd March 2024. It is still available to view on NOPSEMA website.

The Environment Plan approval document will be submitted to NOPSEMA for formal public comment and assessment.
